Well, about a week ago a friend of my mom gave me this car for free.....so i figured I'd throw a lil system in it......and it is my first car and this is going to be my first system.
So the car I have is a 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300SE . and the system I am throwing in it is going to consist of.... SUB: AudioQue HDC3 12" AMP: HiFonics BXI1608D (~1600w) BOX: 2.3ft^3 tuned to 38hz and is "Homemade" by me. as for the regular speakers in the doors and stuff will come last..... Wedsdy 7/30: Subwoofer will arrive in the mail. Hopefully UPS doesn't damage it.. Thursdy 7/31: INSTALL TIME BABY !!! Friday 8/1: Wait for door speakers and headunit......breaking in the HDC3 12"...... Weekend 8/2 & 8/3: just waiting for the door speakers and head unit By Monday/Tuesday (8/4-8/5): The door speakers and head unit should arrive.....then INSTALL...... Now....as for the materials for building the box today (7/26):  Sheet of MDF (3/4 in.)....(not in picture) (in the garage)..... $26 Glue: TiteBond III $8 Drywall Screws (1 5/8 in.) $5 Silicon II Sealant $4 Black spray paint for inside the port.... $1 Spray adhesive to carpet the box. $5 Roll (5 yards) of carpet. $15 As for the tools for the box build are at my grandpas house.....I am going to build it there and he might give me a little hand if need be......he used to do some carpenter work so he has plenty saws drills ect.....           YEAH the box is sloppy looking with glue and silicon everywhere but i didnt pay any mind to it while building because i am going to carpet the box so u will seee nothing.....!! I ordered the head unit and all of the door speakers and sh!t last night.....soo hopefully they all come early next week...... YESSSSSSSSSSS ~!!!!!! 7-28-08 the AMP and AMP KIT CAME !!!!!   MORE PICS COMING SOON AS IT ALL COMES ALONG !!! |
